Brazil 500 not out, Russia 400 not out

I have been doing Data Analytics Studies on the Coronavirus Pandemic for 79 days and have written 134 research-based blog posts on COVID-19 in these 79 days.

Earlier today, Brazil crossed the half million case mark and Russia the 400,000 case mark. Just yesterday, I had written that just 4 countries — USA, Brazil, Russia, and India — accounted for 341,451 new Covid-19 cases, which was 54.5% of 626,429 new cases reported worldwide in six days from May 24 to 29.

It had taken Brazil 11 days (from May 3 to 14) to bridge from 100,000 to 200,000 cases, 7 days (from May 14 to 21) to cross 300,000 cases, 6 days (from May 21 to 27) to cross 400,000 cases; and now it has taken only 4 days (from May 27 to 31) for Brazil to cross the 500,000 case mark. The country has reported an average of 27,926 new cases per day during the last 3 days. This is 22.9% of the average 121,960 new daily cases reported worldwide in these 3 days.

It had taken Russia 10 days (from April 30 to May 10) to bridge from 100,000 to 200,000 cases, again 10 days (from May 10 to 20) to cross 300,000 cases; and now it has taken 11 days (from May 20 to 31) for Russia to cross the 400,000 case mark. The country has reported an average of 8,632 new cases per day during the last 3 days.

Obviously, the numbers show that Brazil is in a much worse situation than Russia.
