Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed killed 40 CRPF paramilitary personnel in Pulwama on the global day of love – 14 February (Valentine’s Day).
India’s government of the day took many steps in retaliation. Most importantly, on February 27, a squadron of Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 combat aircraft bombed three terrorist facilities, two inside Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJ&K), and one inside the territory of Pakistan. Obviously, this type of action could not have been taken without the explicit approval of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Proving that Pakistan-based terrorists have the implicit backing of the state, Pakistan responded to India’s airstrikes by sending 21 of its combat aircraft to PoJ&K on the next day (Feb 28), three of which crossed into Indian territory. A brave Indian Air Force pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, piloting an ancient 54-year-old MiG-21 Bison aircraft, fired on the much more modern American-made F-16 (inducted into PAF 19 years after IAF inducted the Mig-21s) and shot it down. The braveheart’s MiG was shot down by the PAF.
Within a matter of 36 hours, with the international support of the UN, USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, amongst other nations (and the complete silence of China), India secured the release of Wg. Cdr. Abhinandan, proving how India has achieved global diplomatic strength under PM Modi.
CAN YOU NOW IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF ANY OF THE OTHER SEVEN (SO-CALLED) LEADERS IN THE PICTURE WOULD HAVE BEEN PM OF INDIA, INSTEAD OF MODI?
Mamata Banerjee (after Pulwama attack) – We are a secular nation. We cannot afford to aggravate the 280+ million Muslims of India (including the 30+ million Muslims of West Bengal) by fighting with Pakistan. It is better to wait and watch.
Rahul Gandhi (after Pulwama attack) – My grandmother already broke up Pakistan in 1971 and it has become a weak nation. We need not make it weaker. Two of my family members have already lost their lives as sacrifice to the nation. I cannot sacrifice my life now as I do not have any heirs and the dynasty will die with me. Anyways, I have already constituted a GOPE (group of Pakistan experts) – comprising Randeep Surjewala, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Sanjay Nirupam, Sandeep Dikshit and Navjyot Sidhu – to advise me on what action India could take.
Mayawati (after Pulwama attack) – All of Imran Ji’s three wives also like expensive Gucci and Hermes handbags just like myself. Therefore, all four of us have something in common. I will reach out to them and tell them they should not have killed so many Dalits in Pulwama.
Navjyot Singh Sidhu (after release of Wg. Cdr. Abhinandan) – dekhiye mera yaar Imran kitna dildaar hai. Maine ek phone keeya, usne Abhinandan ko waapas bhej diya.
Akhilesh Yadav (after Pulwama attack) – When my father was Defence Minister of India, Pakistan would not have dared to do anything such as this. For any revenge action against Pakistan, we will have to take everyone’s opinion into account as ours in a Mahagathbandhan government.
Mehbooba Mufti (after Pulwama attack) – If Hindustan strikes back on any targets inside Azad Kashmir, we will be harming our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. We should not take any action against Hurriyat or other Islamist groups inside Indian-occupied Kashmir, as they are fighting a legitimate battle for the independence of the people of Kashmir.
Omar Abdullah (after Pulwama attack) – As my father Farooq Abdullah Ji and I have been saying since a very long time, we should sit down with Pakistan’s leadership and have a comprehensive dialogue with them.
THINK VERY HARD – BEFORE PRESSING THAT EVM BUTTON IN APRIL OR MAY
