Will we see 300,000 Coronavirus Cases in a day today or tomorrow?

I have been conducting Data Analytics Studies on the Coronavirus Pandemic for 140 days and have written 210 research-based blog posts on COVID-19 in these 140 days.

In  similar scenario as 16 & 23 July, just five countries—USA, Brazil, India, South Africa and Colombia—registered 72.3% of the 290,459 Covid cases yesterday (29 July), a new world record, which beat the previous record of 289,611 Covid cases on 24 July.

Are we now headed towards a scenario of seeing 300,000 cases in a day today or tomorrow itself? I say this because Thursdays or Fridays usually record the highest cases every week.

The last 14 days’ average for the world is 248,372 cases per day. It was 209,109 daily cases during 2-15 July, so the growth has been 18.8% in just two weeks.

USA registered 66,921 cases. The highest was 78,407 cases on 24 July. The last 14 days’ average is 67,573 daily cases, 12.6% higher than the 60,030 average daily cases registered during 2-15 July.

Brazil registered its highest daily tally of 70,869 cases. The previous highest was 65,339 cases on 22 July. The last 14 days’ average is 41,758 daily cases, 13% higher than the 36,967 average daily cases registered during 2-15 July.

India registered its highest daily tally of 52,249 cases, beating its previous record of 50,525 cases on 26 July. The last 14 days’ average is 43,873 daily cases, a whopping 68.3% higher than the 26,068 average daily cases registered during 2-15 July.

South Africa registered 11,362 cases. The highest was 13,944 cases on 24 July. The last 14 days’ average is 11,434 daily cases, 5.5% higher than the 10,837 average daily cases registered during 2-15 July.

Colombia registered 8,670 cases. The highest was 10,284 cases on 28 July. The last 14 days’ average is 7,920 daily cases, a whopping 75.6% higher than the 4,511 average daily cases registered during 2-15 July.
