We, the world’s second largest public polling / surveying platform across all social media https://twitter.com/MyVoteToday – ran a Poll on Twitter which asked – “AS BJP DUMPS PDP, WILL MP MODI NOW UNDERTAKE TOUG ACTION AGAINST PAKISTAN WITH JUST A FEW MONTHS LEFT FOR THE 2019 ELECTIONS?”
In March 2015, BJP formed a coalition government in Jammu & Kashmir state, as the junior partner with state party PDP, as a junior partner, and PDP’s founder Mufti Mohd. Sayeed, became the Chief Minister of the state for the second time. The Mufti died before completing a year in office. After about three months, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti became the Chief Minister, and the alliance continued. Just when the Mehbooba led coalition government completed about 26 months in office, BJP abruptly ended the coalition in June 2018, and the state came under Governor’s rule. BJP cited the soft approach of PDP towards terrorists and stone pelters as the reason for ending the coalition.
11,317 people responded / voted on the Poll, and 88% said “YES” PM Modi will now undertake tough action against Pakistan.
As BJP has cited PDP’s soft approach as the reason to pull out of the coalition, it is widely accepted that the BJP-led NDA government at the centre will adopt tough measures against those who cause unrest in the Kashmir valley.
