I have been conducting Data Analytics Studies on the Coronavirus Pandemic for 100 days and have written 158 research-based blog posts on COVID-19 in these 100 days.

The United Kingdom of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Island, commonly referred to as the UK, became the fifth country to cross 300,000 Covid-19 cases. It took the UK 66 days to reach 50,000 cases, 10 days to reach 100,000 cases, a further 10 days to reach 150,000 cases, again 10 days to reach 200,000 cases, 14 days to reach 250,000 cases, and now 29 days to reach 300,000 cases. Thus, the country started flattening the curve (so to speak) of growth in cases after reaching 200,000 cases, which has not been the case with USA, Brazil, Russia and India, the 4 countries with higher cases than the UK.

The country’s death count of 42,288 is at a Fatality Rate (deaths as a percentage of positive cases) of 14.07% compared to the average of 5.59% for the 26 countries with minimum 50,000 cases.

IRAN became the tenth country in the world and the second in Asia (after India) to reach 200,000 cases. It took the country 44 days to reach 50,000 cases, 34 days to reach 100,000 cases, 25 days to reach 150,000 cases, and now 19 days to reach 200,000 cases. It is expected to cross 150,000 cases in the next 17 days. Therefore, the curve for Iran is not yet showing any sign of flattening. The country’s death count of 9,392 is at a Fatality Rate of 4.69%.

SAUDI ARABIA became the 16th country in the world and the fifth in Asia (after India, Iran, Turkey and Pakistan) to reach 150,000 cases. It took the country 62 days to reach the first 25,000 cases, 14 days to reach 50,000 cases, 10 days to reach 75,000 cases, 12 days to reach 100,000 cases, only 7 days to reach 125,000 cases, and now only 5 days to reach 150,000 cases. It is expected to cross 175,000 cases in the next 6 days. This shows that the pandemic is growing rapidly in this oil-rich Middle-eastern nation. The country’s death count of 1,139 is at a Fatality Rate of only 0.78%, which is unusually low.

CANADA became the 18th country in the world and the second in North America (after USA) to reach 100,000 cases. It took the country 73 days to reach the first 25,000 cases, then 15 days to reach 50,000 cases, 18 days to reach 75,000 cases, and now 33 days to reach 100,000 cases. This shows that Canada started flattening its curve of growth in new cases more than a month back. In the past 15 days, Canada has only added 7,135 new cases at an average of 475.7 cases per day, which further proves that the growth curve of Coronavirus has flattened in Canada. The country’s death count of 8,300 is at a Fatality Rate of 8.28%.

EGYPT became the 26th country to reach 50,000 cases. It took the country 88 days to reach 10,000 cases, 16 days to reach 20,000 cases, only 8 days to reach 30,000 cases, 7 days to reach 40,000 cases, and now 6 days to reach 50,000 cases. It is expected to cross 60,000 cases in the next 5-6 days. Egypt has not yet started flattening its growth curve. The country’s death count of 1,938 is at a Fatality Rate of 3.84%.
